We are the NZPTA

NZPTA works within the education system, to encourage parent/whanau involvement and participation to assist all children develop their talents, self-esteem and character and to ensure they have the ability to lead a full and productive life.

Individual parent groups, like PTAs, Home and School, Friends and Whanau and Pasifika belong to NZPTA.  The National Executive of the New Zealand Parent Teacher Association is made up of individuals  throughout New Zealand. We are a grass-roots organisation where many of those on the National Executive are also volunteers in their own local PTA’s.
